Ultrasound examination (UE) is one of the most accurate diagnostic methods that allows you to detect changes in the body at their initial stages. Ultrasound diagnosis is a test, prescribed according to indications. Specialists prescribe it for a wide range of impaired functioning of internal organs, tissues, musculoskeletal system, and during pregnancy.

Recommendations for pre-treatment preparation

Before the procedure for examining the abdominal organs, it is recommended to exclude dark flour bread, fruits and vegetables with a high content of sugar and fiber, whole milk, flour and sugary dishes, carbonated drinks from the diet.

Before an ultrasound of the pancreas, gall bladder and liver, one should refrain from eating for 12 hours before the procedure.

An ultrasound of the bladder and kidneys involves the intake of 1.5 liters of non-carbonated liquid – the procedure is performed with a full bladder.

Examination of the abdominal aorta and gall bladder requires a diet for three days before the examination. Steamed and boiled food should prevail in the diet, and food should be discarded 12 hours before the procedure.

Examination of the pelvic organs also involves dieting three days before the procedure, and limiting the amount of food – 12 hours. The exception is pregnant women.

These measures will provide the most accurate survey result.
